Land acknowledgment
The Land of Make+Believe is located on the unceded traditional and ancestral land of the Central Sierra Miwok. We acknowledge the enslavement and genocide of the Miwok by white settlers that took place here and in the surrounding areas, while honoring and respecting the indigenous people—past, present, and future—connected to this land.
